I have always loved drawing. It was while working at Elsevier Science that I started drawing cartoons for scientific news stories, which led to a full time job in the illustration studio. I moved to a position at Nature as an Art Editor, where my illustration styles developed, and I learned about page layout and design. In 2008, I took the opportunity to become a freelancer and set up Neil Smith Illustration. I love the work I do and it’s a treat to work for such varied clients.
